Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam,popularly known as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was an aerospace scientist and the former President of India. He served as 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007.
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was born on 15th October 1931, in the small Dhanushkodi village of Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu. He was born in the middle-class Tamil Muslim family. His father Jainulabdeen was a fisherman and imam of a local mosque,while his mother Ashiamma was a housewife.
